Cookie Policy

Last updated: 25 March 2026  ·  Effective date: 25 March 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Project Freelance Limited, trading as Kinvoy ("Kinvoy", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on our website and portal at kinvoy.co.uk. This policy complies with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) and the UK GDPR.

The short version: Kinvoy uses only one cookie — a strictly necessary session cookie that keeps you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or analytics cookies that identify individuals.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, tablet, or smartphone) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, or work more efficiently, and to provide information to the website operator.

Cookies can be "session cookies" (which expire when you close your browser) or "persistent cookies" (which remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them). They can also be "first-party cookies" (set by the website you are visiting) or "third-party cookies" (set by a different domain).

Under PECR, we are required to tell you about the cookies we use and, where those cookies are not strictly necessary, to obtain your consent before placing them. Because Kinvoy uses only strictly necessary cookies, no consent banner is required — but we are committed to being transparent about what we use and why.

2. Cookies we use

Kinvoy sets only one first-party cookie. It is strictly necessary for the Service to function and cannot be disabled without breaking your ability to sign in.

ExpirySession (deleted on browser close or sign-out)

3. What we do not use

We want to be explicit about what Kinvoy does not do, given the sensitive nature of the data our users handle:

No advertising cookies

We do not use Google Ads, Meta Pixel, or any other advertising or retargeting technology.

No cross-site tracking

We do not track you across other websites or share your browsing behaviour with third parties.

No third-party analytics cookies

We do not use Google Analytics, Hotjar, Mixpanel, or any other cookie-based analytics tool that identifies individuals.

No social media cookies

We do not embed Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, or other social media widgets that set tracking cookies.

No persistent tracking

Our session cookie expires when you close your browser. We do not set long-lived tracking identifiers.

No fingerprinting

We do not use browser fingerprinting or other techniques to identify you without a cookie.

We do collect aggregate, anonymised page view statistics using a privacy-preserving analytics service. This service does not use cookies, does not collect IP addresses, and does not track individual users across sessions or sites.

4. Third-party cookies

Kinvoy does not intentionally set third-party cookies. However, certain third-party services that are integral to the Service may set their own cookies:

Cookie nameTypePurposeDurationEssential?
Manus OAuth (auth.manus.im)AuthenticationDuring the sign-in process, you are briefly redirected to the Manus OAuth portal. Manus may set session cookies on their domain to manage the authentication flow. These cookies are set by Manus, not by Kinvoy, and are governed by Manus's own privacy policy.SessionYes
Stripe (checkout.stripe.com)Payment processingWhen you visit the Stripe checkout page to subscribe, Stripe sets cookies on their domain for fraud prevention and session management. These are set by Stripe, not Kinvoy, and are governed by Stripe's cookie policy.Varies (Stripe-managed)Yes

These third-party cookies are only set when you actively use those services (signing in or subscribing). They are set on the third party's domain, not on kinvoy.co.uk, and are outside our direct control.

5. Managing cookies

Because Kinvoy uses only strictly necessary cookies, disabling them will prevent you from signing in and using the portal. You cannot opt out of the session cookie while using the Service.

You can, however, manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to view, delete, and block cookies. Note that blocking all cookies will affect many websites, not just Kinvoy. Here are links to cookie management instructions for common browsers:

You can also delete all cookies stored by Kinvoy by signing out of the portal, which removes the session cookie from your browser.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the technologies we use or in applicable law. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email.

We encourage you to review this page periodically to stay informed about our use of cookies.
